MinimizeCHILDREN FIRST ANNUAL REPORT

MinimizeARRA

The Lee County School District has submitted an application for Title I, A, ARRA funds in the amount of $956,517.  The application has been substantially approved.  Of this total amount 1% of the funds must be set aside for parental involvement and 5% of the funds must be set aside for professional development.  In addition, the district is required to set aside funds to serve homeless students at non-Title I schools.  After these set asides are subtracted off-the-top, funds are allocated to the seven Title I schools according to the school enrollment and percentage of students who receive free/reduced lunch.

MinimizeDISTRICT REPORT CARD

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) requires school, district, and state report cards containing three general areas of information: school improvement, teacher qualifications, and test data.  The report must contain information about the professional qualifications of teachers in core academic subject areas. Highly qualified teachers are those who satisfied the NCLB criteria during the school year.  The report card must also contain achievement data for specific subgroups, two-year achievement trends, and student participation.  State data may be viewed on our website by clicking here or by going to the Publications Tab at the top of this page, then click on NCLB Report Cards.
