CTE Grand Opening

After years of good planning and hard work by so many, the Lee County Career and Technical Education Center is officially OPEN!

District leaders welcomed invited guests to the new 34,500 square foot facility for a grand opening celebration on December 9, 2021.

The program included remarks from some of those responsible for seeing this project come to fruition. Located in The Hive Business Park on Highway 6 West, CTE students started attending classes at the center in November, 2021.

Visitors were able to see firsthand the opportunities available to students that include construction, health science and culinary arts courses.

The overall cost of the CTE project is approximately $8 million. Lee County School District voters overwhelmingly approved a $15 million bond issue in January 2020 to finance the center. This bond requires no tax increase for LCSD taxpayers.

The Lee County CTE Center serves students in grades 10-12 from Mooreville, Saltillo and Shannon High Schools.
