Mooreville Elementary School is home to K-5th grade with approximately 780 students and 90 staff members including 17 teachers with a master’s degree or higher and five National Board Certified Teachers.
Our goal at MES is for 90-95% of our students to perform at or above grade level. Classroom instruction is aligned to MS College and Career Readiness through English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. In addition, the students receive computer, library, physical education, art and music instruction weekly.
Other programs that are available to qualifying students are: Reaching Reading Success (RRS), Special Education, Discovery, Speech Therapy, and Life Core Therapy. RRS is a program designed to address the needs of students that are displaying characteristics of dyslexia. These students receive specialized instruction five days a week for 45 minutes each day from highly trained instructors. Our Discovery program is a class provided for intellectually gifted students where they are able to develop thinking skills. They are encouraged to take risks and stretch their boundaries of learning through discovery learning and hands-on projects.
At MES we continually strive to provide students, parents, and the surrounding community with support and resources to ensure each child meets his/her greatest potential.
