Ms. Lindsey Brett, Principal

Plantersville Middle School

Dear Lindsey:

It was my honor to present a Manners Program to your students during the period of October 16-20, 2017.  This program was presented in partnership with MSU/Lee County Extension Agent Sherry Smith and ONE Nutrition Educator Tabitha McRunnels.

You should be extremely proud that your students exemplified a positive attitude during the program.  The students maintained good discipline throughout and was eager to learn.  Some of the skills they learned included how to meet and greet people, including people with titles like teachers, policemen, mayors and other elected officials. They were taught appropriate behavior when meeting dignitaries.  Students also learned proper table setting, how to use the utensils and proper napkin placement.  The student enjoyed role playing following workshops presented.

We were very fortunate to have many volunteers and churches in Plantersville support this program as an investment in your students.  I am sure the manners programs definitely influenced the students as was evidenced in the well-attended family dinner.  We were able to witness the students explaining proper manners to their family who attended.

Thank you, Ms. Brett, and your staff for your openness and willingness to give us the opportunity to present this program.
