On Veterans Day, Ms. Martin, Ms. Maxey, and Ms. Nelson's classes discovered how to prepare and then enjoy sampling MREs (Meal, Ready-to-Eat).

Students also learned flag etiquette from Guntown Middle School Resource Officer and U.S. Army veteran, Deputy Matthew Williams. The session included the proper way to fold the U.S. flag and how to correctly display it.

Earlier in the week, students learned the history of Veterans Day and how it differs from Memorial Day.
