Modern Woodmen of America recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the communities through its Hometown Hero Award.
This year, Modern Woodmen of America Financial Representative, Wayne Averett, presented the Hometown Award to Vanessa Washington. Mrs. Washington is a dedicated teacher at Guntown Middle School who has provided outstanding community service through her work with creating and maintaining the Guntown Middle School Food Pantry. Mrs. Washington provides meals for food insecure students and families at Guntown Middle School and the surrounding communities.
