Vicki Crumpton, Lee County School District Instructional Technology Lead Teacher, spoke to Ed Prep Year 2 students about her job, her career path, and technological resources available to Lee County Schools. Ed Prep Year 2 students are currently in a unit of study called Instructional Technology.
Kirsten Willis, a third year student in Health Science, was able to shadow Dr. Boles who is an anesthesiologist at North Mississippi Medical Center. What a wonderful learning opportunity for Kirsten!

Our Culinary II students presented Elvis Presley Cupcake Wars. Each team of students created three different flavors of cupcakes that had to be Elvis inspired. They also worked with Construction II students to build their displays. Judges scored students' presentations, tastes, and overall displays.
Lee County CTE Center culinary arts students Laney Hays, Harper Benjamin, and Chaz Jolly volunteered their time during Thanksgiving break at Cooking Like the Stars. This yearly event at Park Heights restaurant benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Mississippi.
The Lee County School District welcomed members of this year's Jim Ingram Community Leadership Institute to the CTE Center for a tour. We thank CDF, CREATE, and this group for their interest in the center and district!
We welcome all kinds of guests to our campus, including rabbits! Thanks to MSU Extension Agent Laura Reed, who visited the Ag & Natural Resources classes.
Students from our agriculture, HVAC, and construction classes benefited from a tour at the MSU Department of Building Construction Science. They received encouragement from students and professors to consider construction-related career opportunities.
Thank you to the MS Army National Guard for speaking to our Health Science classes! The students enjoyed the hands-on presentation. They loved participating in tourniquet application, nasopharyngeal airway and starting an IV.
Ms. Baggett's Ag & Natural Resources students at the Lee County CTE Center are enjoying the chickens she brought to the center. Students are feeding the chickens and collecting eggs!
Ed prep classes welcomed Dr. Leigh Anne Newton, Director of the Ole Miss Tupelo and Booneville campuses. Dr. Newton shared opportunities for advanced learning that's available to students right here in our area.
Our talented Culinary Arts Year 2 students at the Lee County CTE Center made cakes to sell at this year's Celebration Village. Proceeds benefit Sanctuary Hospice House. Don't all the cakes look delicious? 😋
HVAC I and II students had the opportunity to visit with Mr. Matt Lentell, Director of Operations at Cadence Bank Arena. Students learned about daily operations inside the arena, and Mr. Lentell showed students the process of creating the ice rink.
