This past weekend, the Northeast Mississippi Band Directors Association (NEMBDA) hosted its Middle School Honor Band Clinic at Itawamba Community College, bringing together some of the top young musicians from across the region.
Four Mooreville Middle School band members were selected to represent MMS in the prestigious NEMBDA Middle School Honor Band after a competitive audition process. Under the direction of MMS Band Director Will Pate, the following students earned outstanding chair placements:
Cayite Bishop, 6th chair flute
Stormi Priest, 2nd chair alto saxophone
Kenzy Martin, 5th chair horn
Warner Bryan, 2nd chair tuba
During the clinic, students rehearsed with an expert clinician and collaborated with fellow honor band members from other schools. The experience culminated in a concert performance that showcased their musical growth, talent, and dedication.
Mooreville Middle School is proud of these students for their hard work and for representing the school with excellence at the regional level.
