We want to make sure all our families are on the same page about school attendance this year! State law has updated its guidelines, and we want to break down what that means for you and your child in simple terms.

🎒 What Happens When Your Child Misses School?

3 Days Missed (Excused or Unexcused):

We’ll give you a quick call or message to check in, start extra support at school if needed, and notify our Attendance Officer.

5 Unexcused Absences:

We’ll update our Attendance Officer and step up our support plan to help get your student back on track.

8 Unexcused Absences:

We’ll review how our plan is working and reach out to see how we can better support your family.

12 Unexcused Absences:

We turn in a full report of all the support steps we've taken together.

15+ Unexcused Absences:

From here on out, an official report is automatically sent every 5 unexcused days (at 20, 25, 30 days, etc.).
