Renasant Commits $240,000 to Lee County Schools Over Six Years

Tupelo, MS - Renasant announced today that the company has committed $40,000 annually for six years, totaling $240,000, to be distributed evenly between Lee County high schools of Mooreville, Saltillo, and Shannon. Every year, one school will receive $25,000 for Athletics, while the other two schools will receive $7,500 each to support Academic and Art programs. Schools will rotate every year, ensuring all students benefit during the six-year term.

"At Renasant, we believe in investing in our future leaders," said Louis Marascalco, Division President of Lee County. "We’re proud to stand alongside the educators and staff of Shannon, Mooreville, and Saltillo as they inspire the next generation."

Marascalco hosted representatives from all three schools at Renasant Main on Wednesday, October 1. They flipped a coin to see which school would receive the first $25,000 and Mooreville won. Funds will be presented annually to the Lee County Superintendent’s Office, where teachers, coaches, and booster clubs can then request support for their projects and programs through their individual schools.

“We are grateful for Renasant’s commitment to Lee County’s future leaders through this generous donation," said Lee County Schools Superintendent Coke Magee. "We look forward to sharing how these contributions will make a direct impact on every aspect of our schools, from academics to athletics to the arts.”
