This morning, District Art Coordinator Tracy Nock (pictured left) delivered around 450 student made clay bowls to Lisa Murphree of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. These bowls will be given out at the annual Empty Bowls Luncheon on Wednesday, March 4. Proceeds from the event help feed the hungry in our area.
Thank you to the following schools and their art and Discovery teachers who participated: Saltillo Elementary (teachers Amy Mize, Amy Dewett, Amanda Carpenter), Saltillo High (teacher Teb Thornton), Guntown Middle (teacher Jill Palmer), Shannon Middle (teacher Brittney Rock) and Mooreville Middle (teacher Tiffany Moya). We appreciate the hard work of these students and teachers for a very worthwhile cause!
