Saltillo Elementary 4th-grade student artists are helping create a "Mississippi Music Mural" this week. 🎨 🎶
The Mississippi Arts Commission, Mississippi Whole Schools, and the National Endowment for the Arts awarded a grant to Saltillo Elementary to facilitate a collaborative project between Saltillo Elementary and professional artist, Angi Cooper. Cooper is leading students in creating a mural on their campus that showcases the state's diverse musical heritage and notable artists. So far, it all looks fantastic!
Scheduled for unveiling on April 16 during the LCSD 'Evening of the Arts' and 'Impressions' Student Artists’ Show, this project highlights the partnership's commitment to fostering artistic excellence. We can't wait to see the completed mural!
