About Lee County School District

Lee County Schools Administration Office

The Lee County School District consists of thirteen schools, a career and technical education center, and a facility for academic improvement. Campuses are located in Belden, Guntown, Mooreville, Plantersville, Saltillo, Shannon, Tupelo, and Verona. There are 6,300 students currently enrolled in all programs offered throughout the district, which employs 1,000 certified and non-certified people. The Lee County School District is among the largest in size of school districts in the state.

The MS Department of Education’s most recent report rates LCSD as a "B" district with four “A” rated schools and five "B" rated schools.

Each high school has its own career coach to prepare students for postsecondary education and training.

There are 90 National Board Certified Teachers in the district. Fifty-two percent of our teachers hold advanced degrees.

The district has school nurses for each campus.  Updated security measures are in place on campuses around the district, and school resource officers and Lee County Sheriff's Department officers provide protection at all of our schools.

Voters within the Lee County School District overwhelmingly approved a $15 million bond issue in 2020. A majority of the funds were used to construct a new career and technical education center for LCSD students. The 33,000-square-foot complex is located at the Community Development Foundation’s newest industrial park called the HIVE. Students started attending classes there in late 2021.

Lee County School District voters approved an $8 million bond issue in 2022 to fund a variety of construction projects throughout the district. Most of the money is going toward new extracurricular facilities and the renovation of existing facilities on campuses across the district.
