Some of our best student spellers took part in last night's district spelling bee. With three schools participating, the spelling bee went a total of 25 rounds.
Congratulations to Mooreville Middle School's Chelsi Chandler for coming in first place! The winning word was CAROLING. Second place went to Kingsley Williams of Plantersville Middle School. Rounding out the top three was Ellie McKee of Saltillo Elementary School.
Chelsi and Kingsley will go on to compete in the Lee County Spelling Bee on January 22 against spellers from the Tupelo and Nettleton School Districts. We wish these spellers lots of luck!
