Mooreville’s STAR Student Cadence Reese has chosen Principal Kevin Long as her 2026 STAR Principal.
The STAR Student and Teacher program has been a long-standing fixture in the state of Mississippi, but this year, Lee County was chosen to pilot a new program addition - STAR Principal. Funded by a grant from the CREATE Foundation, this award recognizes the vital role school administration plays in student success.
At the recent STAR Student Celebration in Jackson, Mr. Long was one of four principals in the state recognized as a STAR Principal. Mr. Long was awarded a trophy and $500, courtesy of CREATE. He is pictured here with Cadence Reese, who was also honored at the celebration.
