Healthy media habits and related topics were up for discussion with students and staff during a special presentation last week.

Dr. Michael Rich, known as the "Mediatrician," is an expert in children’s digital wellness and mental health. He and his team visited with LCSD administrators, and both Guntown Middle and Shannon Elementary students.

Based in Boston, Dr. Rich has a long resume that focuses on successful ways of helping children and families develop healthier relationships with digital media.

Thanks to the Brevard Family Foundation and The Children’s Foundation of Mississippi for supporting Dr. Rich's visit and the invaluable information he and his colleagues were able to share with our district.
