Students in Discovery classes at Saltillo Elementary have been making clay bowls to donate to the 2025 Empty Bowls Luncheon sponsored by the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. This event raises money to feed the hungry in our community.

Our 4th grade class representatives made a special appearance at the Saltillo Christmas Parade on Friday evening, riding on our merry “Shrek the Halls” Christmas float! 🎄 We are grateful for the unwavering support of our parents and volunteers!





Superintendent Coke Magee and Saltillo Mayor Copey Grantham shared a couple of holiday books with Saltillo Elementary's “Reaching Reading Success” classes last week. 📘




The Saltillo Elementary School November Character of Distinction is generosity. These students were highlighted by their homeroom teachers as having practiced the character trait of generosity.



Third graders did a great job with their parade balloons and own version of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Update: There was a discrepancy in the science fair categories of judging, and we have another FIRST PLACE winning team in the Animal Science Category! Congratulations to Catherine Thornton and Mia Morgan for their FIRST PLACE finish in the category of Animal Science!

Our POD A 5th graders attended the Mississippi Hills Folk Life & Craft Fest 'Pioneer Days' at the Union County Heritage Museum.









Fifth graders (Pod A) did an outstanding job today presenting the patriotic program, "America, Our Home." Pod B performs Wednesday!
Fifth grade Discovery students attended an overnight field trip to Camp Lake Stephens! Students canoed, kayaked, played games, completed team building exercises, roasted marshmallows, spent time in nature and learned about stars and constellations. What an incredible educational experience!




Please congratulate our students who received awards for the character self development trait, “Self-Control,” for the month of September! We are so proud of these students!
