While leading his team to another state championship this week, Saltillo High Archery Coach John Vines was also awarded the AIMS High Point Award for his outstanding work with the program. Congratulations!


Several second grade classes at Saltillo Primary have been working on service projects at the school. They weeded a flower bed and reworked the school's rock garden. Good job, students!







Shannon Primary students in Mrs. Gannon's class did their best on their end-of-the-year test! Their reward? Getting to hold the class pet, a bearded dragon named Luca.










Lee County CTE Center's Ed Prep students toured Itawamba Community College Tupelo and University of Mississippi Tupelo campuses to learn about education programs/majors offered and scholarship opportunities.

Saltillo Elementary 4th Grade Representatives dedicated a "buddy bench" for all students to enjoy for years to come. (And Lee County CTE construction students built the bench!) A great addition to the campus!





Guntown Middle 8th graders are investigating a "crime scene." They're using their writing skills and more that will eventually help decide the identity of the perpetrator.









Year two Lee County CTE students visited ICC Belden last week. Students learned about job opportunities available if they complete any of the one or two year programs at ICC.









Mrs. Thompson’s College and Career Readiness students at Mooreville High recently participated in mock job interviews, gaining valuable real-world experience and confidence for their future endeavors.










Saltillo Elementary 5th graders traveled to MSU where they visited two campus museums, the football field, and much more!

Pre-K students at Mooreville Elementary had the opportunity to interact with their local fire and rescue team, exploring a fire truck and learning about community helpers.

Plenty of friendly competition at today's Northeast Mississippi Special Olympics Area 11 games! Athletes from schools throughout our district took part in this annual event in Tupelo. Congratulations to all of the winners! 🏅
Virtual reality (VR) headsets are being used by students around the district to explore dozens of possible careers. What an exciting, fun way to SEE what's out there!










There's no party like a glow-in-the-dark party! 🟢 🟡 Saltillo Primary first graders celebrated all the AR (Accelerated Reader) points they earned during the 3rd nine weeks.








What better way to begin Charlotte’s Web than meeting a real-life Wilbur? This surprise visitor at Saltillo Elementary helped students kick off their reading of the E.B. White classic novel about friendship between a pig and a spider.






Saltillo Elementary 4th graders welcomed Miss Mississippi Anna Leah Jolly, who presented “Tar Wars.” This program is designed to educate Mississippi students on the dangers associated with using tobacco products and other chemicals.




Students and staff at Shannon Primary, along with other schools in the district, wore pink on Friday to remember 2nd grader Skighlar Wallace, who died in an automobile accident. Shannon Primary also held a balloon release in her memory.
