Health science students at the Lee County CTE Center explored opportunities at the annual "Navigating Health Sciences" event at Mississippi University for Women. What a great learning experience!









Congratulations to the eight Mooreville Middle School Band members selected to participate in the Mississippi University for Women Honor Band Clinic!







Guntown Middle 7th graders welcomed Juanita G. Floyd of CREATE Foundation and author of Summer of 1969 during their study of Black History Month. Students also participated in interactive gallery walks and learned about civil rights issues of the 1960s.

Art students at Shannon High have been adding personal touches to murals in the school's testing center. They're making the building less drab, MORE inspiring, and MORE inviting!

Ed Prep students at the Lee County CTE Center are spreading the love this Valentine’s Day! They made banners and cards for residents at The Meadows to enjoy! ❤️

Lee County CTE Center welcomed 9th and 10th graders from all three of our high schools. Students visited to see what classes they might be interested in taking in the future. And thanks to the CTE Compass Ambassadors who assisted this week!








Saltillo Primary 2nd graders are learning about biographies. Today, they researched baseball great Jackie Robinson. Students did a great job drawing a portrait of him to go with their writing.








What's a good way to learn about muscles and tendons in your health science class? Use chicken wings! Mrs. Creel’s students at the Lee County CTE Center dissected chicken wings for some hands-on learning.







With Valentine's Day just over a week away, Shannon Primary kindergarteners in Mrs. Roebuck and Mrs. Knox’s class had a sweet time learning about subtracting! 💟🔢


Ms. Holliday’s class at Mooreville Elementary made “thank you” cards for all those at Tombigbee Electric Power who worked hard to restore electricity after the winter storm. We sure appreciate you guys!





Mrs. Nissen's class at Saltillo Elementary is having a science lesson on matter by making "snow and ice." Students are connecting the lesson with our recent winter weather storm. We are glad to see everyone back in school and learning!
