Coach Pate’s health class at Mooreville High completed training in life-saving skills, including CPR techniques for both adults and children. Students learned the importance of remaining calm and responding appropriately in emergency situations.

Shannon Primary's Discovery class visited the Tupelo Children’s Mansion to spread some kindness and holiday cheer with the children there. Students painted pictures, played games, sang Christmas carols, and made new friends!







Members of the Mooreville Middle Junior Civitan Club visited Countrywood Manor in Mantachie to play bingo with the residents, helped with The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree, and delivered Christmas goodies to the Lee County Sheriff’s Department. 🎄

Always a pleasure to welcome members of the Jim Ingram Community Leadership Institute! This year's group toured the Lee County CTE Center today, as part of its education session.
Thanks to the family of the late Dr. Ken Kellum for donating these bowls and other pottery materials for the benefit of our LCSD students. 💕 Dr. Kellum was a dear friend of the LCSD Art Department who loved to share his pottery knowledge with many teachers and students in the district.




The Shannon High Beta Club participated in National Young Readers Week by reading Balloons Over Broadway to Shannon Elementary 3rd graders. The older students then helped the young ones craft their very own “turkey parade float”! 🦃 🎈









Fifth graders at Saltillo Elementary welcomed Deb Waz from the MS Museum of Natural Science. Ms. Waz brought live reptiles and shared interesting information about these and other creatures.










In observance of World Kindness Day, Mooreville Elementary students showed kindness by leaving notes for teachers, writing to nursing home residents, and placing kind notes on coffee holders. ❣️










Lee County CTE Center staff visited their new neighbor this week, with a tour of the Liebherr logistics facility in the HIVE Business Park. Construction is moving right along!





To celebrate the 67th day of school, Mrs. Burns’ 4th grade students at Saltillo Elementary took on a fun challenge. Students came up with 67 nouns, 67 verbs, 67 adjectives, and 67 acts of kindness. Good job!






Around the district, students have been learning what Veterans Day is all about. Thanks to the special guests who helped make these different campus events successful!
