
After studying the Civil Rights Movement in U.S. History class at Shannon High, students became activists for an issue of today. They created pamphlets and other materials for a "march" to advocate a variety of causes.

Each year, there are always fun, creative entries in the Shannon High/Middle Edible Book Festival!

Mooreville High Beta Club (seniors) visited the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society and dropped off donations collected this past month. They also provided enrichment to the sweet dogs and were able to walk them. Please consider adopting a dog or cat!









Juniors at Saltillo High discovered opportunities available to them during a tour the ICC Fulton campus!










For World Down Syndrome Day, Saltillo High students wore colorful, mismatched socks for Rock Your Socks! As part of the celebration, Ms. Kayla Dillinger’s AP Biology class invited Ms. Marla Adams' class to come by for an extra awesome party!







Mooreville Elementary second graders learned about a wide variety of famous people with their wax museum. Great job!











Mooreville High's junior class attended Spring Preview Day at Itawamba Community College. Students took a campus tour, visited various information booths, and enjoyed lunch at ICC's cafeteria.








Advanced Manufacturing students at the Lee County CTE Center visited North American Pipe, owned by Westlake. The tour was very informative and helpful for each of the students.







Lee County CTE Ed Prep students enjoyed the day in Oxford touring the Ole Miss School of Education!










Thanks goes to the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) of North Mississippi for its donation of feminine hygiene products to middle and high school students in the Lee County School District. Dr. Lindsay Brett, LCSD Director of Community Partnerships, accepted the items from NPHC members.


Guntown Middle School student Chloe Vines was recently selected to perform with the Honor Performance Series Middle School Choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City. What a wonderful opportunity!

District Teacher of the Year Lori Warnick (Mooreville High School) and District Administrator of the Year Brad Jackson (Saltillo Primary School) were both recognized by the Lee County School Board during last night's meeting. We thank these outstanding educators for the work they do!

Students in Ms. Washington’s seventh grade ELA classes at Guntown Middle School welcomed special guests this week for #ReadAcrossAmerica. Students enjoyed their time spent with all!

Verona Elementary School first graders presented a 'wax museum' for Black History Month! Parents and other guests learned quick facts about historical figures in politics, entertainment, athletics, science and more.
