Sunshine and smiles! Saltillo Elementary fifth graders soaked in this beautiful late February weather on the playground today.

Here is the district calendar for the 2025-2026 school year.

This meeting is next Tuesday, February 25. We would love for our eligible students to attend!

Please join us tonight!

Dr. Baulch's kindergarteners at Shannon Primary are learning our likes and differences as they read the book The Colors of Us by Karen Katz. That's a happy group! 😀

Saltillo Primary kindergarteners waddled down the school's hallways during the annual Penguin Parade! The students recently spent time learning about all things PENGUIN, and they wanted to show the older students some of what they discovered.

Please join us next week.

Kindergarten pre-registration dates and times have been announced.

What a great kickoff Monday to the Mississippi Reads One Book program! Superintendent Coke Magee even joined in via video by reading the first chapter of The Lemonade War to all 2nd-5th graders in every school! (Pictured: Verona Elementary)

Mr. Jace Nelson is ready for pre-K! Thanks to all parents who registered their child this past Saturday for the 2025-26 school year. Another registration is Tuesday (2/11). See the attached flyer.

Mooreville High senior Landin George and Saltillo High senior Cameron Young have been accepted into this semester's Creating Your Future internship program at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi in Blue Springs. Congratulations!

Ed Prep students at Lee County CTE have been very busy this semester! From starting clinicals, creating bulletin boards, and participating in mock interviews, these future educators are on their way to success!

Marking 100 days of learning at Verona Elementary! 📚 🏫

The Shannon High School Choir performed at the Committee for King’s Awards Banquet in Tupelo this past weekend. Many Shannon High School students also served at various events honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Is your child currently in pre-K? About to enter kindergarten next school year?

Students in Discovery classes at Saltillo Elementary have been making clay bowls to donate to the 2025 Empty Bowls Luncheon sponsored by the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. This event raises money to feed the hungry in our community.

Students from around the district enjoyed last Friday's snow day! ❄️❄️❄️

The Lee County School District will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025, due to the winter storm forecast.
