Guntown Middle students had the rare opportunity to talk one-on-one with a retired NASA Astronaut! Fred Haise spoke virtually to all sixth graders from his home in Texas. Mr. Haise, who is now 91 years old, was a lunar module pilot for Apollo 13 back in 1970.

Students in Mrs. Smith's Computer Science and Engineering class finished a unit on building electrical circuits using a kit provided through a grant from Ashley Furniture. After completing the project builds, students took a quiz to earn their certificates.

Guntown Middle School student Chloe Vines was recently selected to perform with the Honor Performance Series Middle School Choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City. What a wonderful opportunity!



Students in Ms. Washington’s seventh grade ELA classes at Guntown Middle School welcomed special guests this week for #ReadAcrossAmerica. Students enjoyed their time spent with all!










Ms. Brenda Sisk with Ag in the Classroom (sponsored by Farm Bureau Women's Leadership Program) spoke to Mrs. Stewart’s class about honeybees. She discussed how bees are so important to our daily living.
