First game of the year is right around the corner.

Ms. Washington’s 7th grade ELA classes completed projects/presentations after reading the Japanese folktale, The Wise Old Woman. The projects identified theme, citing text evidence, plot elements, and comparing/contrasting with other Japanese folktales they researched.










Open House is Thursday, August 31 from 2:00-5:00 pm. You can meet your teachers, and we can help you find everywhere you will need to be when school starts back up on Friday!

A successful school supplies giveaway, coordinated by Guntown Middle School Food Pantry. Thanks to the volunteers and businesses that helped make this happen!





We'll soon be seeing these big yellow buses back on the road! All drivers must come to a complete STOP when children are loading and unloading.

Guntown Middle students had the rare opportunity to talk one-on-one with a retired NASA Astronaut! Fred Haise spoke virtually to all sixth graders from his home in Texas. Mr. Haise, who is now 91 years old, was a lunar module pilot for Apollo 13 back in 1970.

Wear BLUE for Autism Awareness Day, Wednesday, April 2!

Students in Mrs. Smith's Computer Science and Engineering class finished a unit on building electrical circuits using a kit provided through a grant from Ashley Furniture. After completing the project builds, students took a quiz to earn their certificates.
